• Led engineering teams to complete critical systems of a year-long engineering effort to develop an electric Formula race car.
  • Participated in and led design reviews for critical vehicle components.
  • Architected and implemented vehicle low-voltage systems, including safety circuits, vehicle networks, telemetry, and control.
  • Designed and built vehicle CCAs, working with EDA software (Eagle/KiCAD), from requirement collection to delivery.
  • Worked in close-knit, cross-functional teams to ensure effective and efficient concurrent development.
The Formula U team at FSAE Lincoln, 2019

Formula SAE is a collegiate design series where students work together to build a Formula-style vehicle, with the ultimate goal of facing down teams from other colleges in a nationwide competition. I participated in the University of Utah’s FSAE team as an individual contributor in 2017, and led the Controls subteam for the 2018-2019 year, and have continued participating as an engineer and advisor.

My experiences on the Formula U team exposed me to a highly interdisciplinary environment, working alongside Computer Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, and Electrical Engineers in cross-functional teams. Through Formula U, I was able to lead the controls team in designing and implementing a full vehicle control and telemetry system, including hardware and software.
